So what I have to do now, is to spend more. I need a new amp that supports HD-dts, an HDMI cable of higher quality…

It happened after one of his regular lunch meetings with the Leica Fans Club HK members… the whole gang went to a computer shopping mall and so…
It took me an hour to teach him how to browse and view pictures on his SD card and he gave up afterwards

Starting from the left…
TOP: iPod shuffle 2nd gen (2G)
iPod 4G (40G); iPod Photo (60G); iPod 3G (30G); iPod Shuffle (1st G); iPod Nano (1st G)
iPod addiction? No, the two iPods in the middle (photo and 3rd Gen) belongs to my mum… she’s using a tiny Sony MP3 player now, and abandoned the iPods.
The shuffle (1st Gen), i.e. 2nd from the right, went out of order (couldn’t, still can’t though, be read by any computers, both Mac and PC, at all…) JUST AFTER 4 MONTHS of purchase… and I just couldn’t be bothered to send it for repair as I was still in the UK back then… and repairing stuff in the UK, especially in Scotland, was kinda troublesome :p

Bought the Xbox 360’s HDMI cable finally. Be frank, the price of HKD328 is fairly reasonable: it allows you to have analogue or digital audio out (optical), although the optical out is also available on the component cable that comes with the console… the best bit is, the quality. I could finally select the 1080p output option and it made a total difference with Halo3.
I was amazed (”wow, wow, wow” most of the time). The pity thing is, my optical cable isn’t long enough and so I’m still using the red-white analogue cables…
Therefore, I’m going to get a longer optical cable this Saturday - so that I can enjoy hearing the bullets flying around!
p.s. Playing Halo3 on my Panasonic TH-42PY700H plasma is truely amazing, especially with the lights out :p
p.p.s. the Tannoy speakers helped alot too
p.p.p.s. and the Infinity sub-woofer… and the bose center/rear speakers helped too ;P

It has been nearly a year, my MacBook Pro (Intel Core Duo, not Core 2 Duo) has been making loads of strange noises. I guess it’s the fan that’s producing these problems. I was supposed to take it for a repair (tried nearly every software side solutions but it’s still noisy), however, I just can’t be bothered to do a backup….
On the other hand, my desktop PC has gone mad for nearly a month as well. One of the SATA HD can’t be booted properly, and I guess (?) it’s something to do with the power supply… I guess 500W is not powerful enough for 3 DVDs, 5 HDs, 1 PCI-e display, 1 TV card, 10 USB ports, 2 FireWire ports and a Creative X-fi platinum sound card… (a bit too demanding on the power, isnt?)
The funny thing is, my Dopod (Windows Mobile 5) has been silent for nearly 2 months, the stupid speaker is broken for the second time. I can talk/hear without any problem, it’s just won’t ring… (that’s why i’m not answering any calls these days, haha). I have to get it repaired before Nov otherwise the guarantee would be expired >.<
See? The gadget-din has gone, she no longer exist!
